Carriage Ride through Young Ward

Bear Lake 1/2 Marathon

My sister, Toni, and I ran the first ever Bear Lake 1/2 Marathon in northern Utah last week. It was absolutely beautiful up in the mountains and around the lake. The first part of the run was pretty also since we ran through farmland. However, it would have been nice to run more around the lake, or in the lake. The best part was running with my sister!!! More races to come!!

Me with all the other "excited" racers.

We needed some comic relief. That last mile was killer since we had to double back through the town to get to the finish line.

Finally, the end of the race!! Thanks Mom and Dad for taking care of Breton!

BASEBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As most of you who know me know that I am a big baseball fan. So I was at WalMart the other day and was looking in the kids toys and found one of the greatest things ever invented for my son. I bought him a bat some baseballs and a tee. Now my dad wouldn't let me play Tee Ball cause he said it makes you soft. ha ha ha ha ha. I agree with him. ha ha ha. But I decied that it makes 4 to 6 year olds soft not 1 1/2 year olds. So I bought it. This little guy is a sports nut at this point. Which doesn't bother me at all. My mom has been babysitting him during the day for a few months during school and all that good stuff and he has a basketball goal over there and he will shoot on it for hours. Now when he is home he hits the balls goes and gets them and does it over and over again. I almost cried I was so overjoyed!!

This top one is the background on my computer.

This is just before Breton hit me with the ball!!

Breton being Breton

All I can say is the kid loves the camera!!

Doritos and Hot Dogs

I have these really great memories when I was little of fishing at the Animas River near our house. We would roast hot dogs and eat doritos. At least that was all I could remember, I think I was like four. I still can eat a whole pack of hot dogs and bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos, by myself.

So, being that we were in camping heaven, that was one of my requests when visiting my family. After the 1/2 marathon race, we headed up to through Logan Canyon and I got my wish- all the hot dogs, doritos, mountains and camp fires I could ever want.

Grandma is up for anything with her grandsons

Ahhh, I love doritos!!!

Wahteee

After the boys had been told not to mess with the sprinkler watering the garden, Breton thought he would see what kind of damage he could do with a sprinkler. All I heard was Tim saying "Do you mind if Breton gets wet?" and "Mommy, wahtee, mommy." Hey, Payton, you are quite the pro . . .

Beware!!! Leslies First Post Ever- Last week, Breton and I (Leslie) traveled to Logan, Utah to see my family in beautiful Cache Valley. Sometimes, it makes me wonder why I live in dry, windy, flat West Texas. Well, Breton had lots of fun with his Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Toni, Uncle Tim, Payton, Jacob and Owen. The three boys had lots fun and mischievious times. While wresting with the boys in the play pen, Breton surfaced with a mysterious brown ball. Ewwwww!!! Jacob is still the sweet, cuddling angelic little boy. Payton is so grown up and has his own flock of baby chicks. We also got to spend lots of time with baby Owen. He is the best little redhead. More pics to follow!!!

Hats must be a genetic thing!

Breton loves hats that was probably his first word after ball and bite and dog and mommy and daddy and
supercalifragilisticexpealidocious.

Spring Break

I am so sorry it has been so long since I have worked on this. School was extremely busy for the last couple of months. These pictures are of us going on spring break. We went to Caprock Canyon State Park and then we went to the Fort Worth Zoo. We had a lot of fun. The picture of Leslie and Breton with the blue tube is a camel back (water canteen type thing only the water is in a bag in the backpack). Breton loves drinking out of it so when Leslie had it on he almost wouldn't drink water from anywhere else. Then the picture of Leslie and Breton in the rocking chairs is in the Fort Worth Zoo. Breton loved seeing all the animals. I think the most entertaining was when we were looking at the animals of the southern united states. There was an ocelot (wild cat a little bigger than a house cat) and he said mmmeeeooowwww in his soft little voice, then we saw a bobcat and Breton perked up a little and said MMMMMMEEEEEEOOOOOWWWWW, next we saw a jaguar and Breton looked really happy and said MMMMMMEEEEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! he was so excited to see a kitty cat that big. Then as you can tell he found a little bronze elephant friend at the zoo to give a hug to. The picture of Breton is Leslie's boots was right after we got home from the trip and one of those you just have to take and share with everybody.
